Features / Platforms / Snapchat
Snapchat, for brands with a Public Profile.
Stories and Spotlights, scheduled. The smallest surface in the set and the one with the strictest entry requirement, but if your client has the audience there, nothing else reaches it.

What you can publish
STORY
To the Public Profile
An image or a short video, posted to the profile’s story rather than to friends.
SPOTLIGHT
The discovery surface
Vertical video submitted to Spotlight, where reach comes from the algorithm rather than followers.
CAPTION
Short and to the point
160 characters. Snapchat is not a place for paragraphs.
The real limits
A Snapchat Public Profile is required. A personal account can’t be connected by any tool. If the client doesn’t have one yet, that’s a 5-minute setup before anything else works.
Comments
No comments API.
Snapchat doesn’t expose replies or comments to any tool. Engagement there stays in the app, and we don’t pretend otherwise.
How the inbox works →Analytics
Lifetime, both levels.
Profile and post metrics are returned for their lifetime once the Public Profile is connected, so Spotlight performance is measurable even though the comments aren’t.
What we report →3 things worth knowing
Spotlight is the reach
Follower count matters far less here than on any other network in the set.
60 seconds, hard
Plan the edit around it. There’s no long-form surface to fall back on.
Rarely supported
Most schedulers don’t cover Snapchat at all, which is why the audience there is under-served.
